Every day it seems there is a new miracle cure or remedy being advertised. Fatigue, pain, depression and more invade the lives of thousands on a daily basis. The tools for healing are all around us.
There is no pill that will cure all, there is no special place to go that will cure all. But within your reach and within your body, God had provided the tools that heal.
In Proverbs 17:22 it says ” A merry heart does good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries the bones.” (American King James Version). It has been shown that the negative emotions including, stress decrease the effectiveness of your immune system, these emotions directly impact the development and function of white blood cells. And where are these cells produced? In the bone marrow.
As we enter cold and flu season, a front line defense to help your immune system remain strong , that you can implement without spending a penny, is to cultivate a positive spirit, a “Merry Heart”.
How can you cultivate a Merry Heart? Take time to start each day with a meditation and time of reflection. Find something for which you are grateful that morning, find something to be joyful about. Do something for someone else to brighten their day, be kind to someone, sing a song, say a prayer, ….there are many ways to cultivate a merry heart and your health will be better for it.
Have a wonderful healing week.
